Block weight is measured in weight units; it is not a guarantee of a 4 MB serialized block. RPC is a node administration interface and should remain access-controlled.

How a Fairness Loop works.

Proof of Fairness establishes a participant’s eligibility before block production. ZKI supplies the uniqueness layer used to resist duplicate participation.

O → I: one consumed turn per cycle

An eligible node starts in state O. Producing an accepted block consumes its turn and transitions it to I. Nodes that retain eligibility can continue to attempt production within the protocol’s timing rules. This is not a fixed schedule assigning each future block to a named miner.

600-second cadence, Fallback and IAAN

The protocol uses a deterministic 600-second block cadence. Fallback occupies the final four minutes of the slot. After 25 consecutive Fallback events, IAAN (I Am Available Now) supports resynchronizing participation. OOS (Out Of Slot) provides a recovery mechanism for interrupted operation.

Independent validation

Peers validate block structure, transactions, timing, producer eligibility and reward allocation. An invalid block does not become valid because its producer or a service operator requests acceptance.

Anti-Sybil enforcement

ZKI binds mining participation to a unique verified person. Duplicate-ZKI violations carry a 144-block ban. Creating more addresses or reinstalling a miner does not create a new human participation right.

Rewards serve the network.

The initial subsidy is 26 UNFT per block, with scheduled halvings. The projected issuance horizon is approximately 90 years from launch; the final scheduled halving falls at block 2,400,000, approximately 45.6 years at the target cadence. The protocol allocation separates block production, storage, connectivity and burn.

AllocationSharePurpose
Mining84.5%Block producer
Storage10%Storage service allocation
PoRe5%Reacher participation allocation
Burn0.5%Provably unspendable allocation

The 5,050,000 UNFT initial supply is separate from subsequent block subsidies. Under the founding Fair Launch plan, zero coins are allocated to founders; initial distribution is intended to encourage different on-chain participation roles, including the community airdrop, according to pre-launch consensus. It is not presented here as circulating supply. The burn allocation concerns the protocol reward distribution; it does not mean that 0.5% of every transferred amount is destroyed.

Specialized participation.

RoleNetwork contribution
Mining / PoFBlock production and transaction validation, subject to ZKI eligibility.
StorageDistributed storage, assessed through availability, reputation and data held. Associated assets target at least three copies.
PoRe / ReachersMobile-first lightweight connectivity participation, currently in test mode with launch planned soon. A lottery-based 51-member committee shares the 5% PoRe block-reward allocation.
HostInfrastructure necessary for chain operation, provided without any economic reward for the Host role.

FAIR LAUNCH / INFRASTRUCTURE IN PRACTICE

Founder-operated Storage.
Excluded from block rewards.

The Storage nodes currently in operation are held and operated by the founders. In keeping with the Fair Launch principle, these nodes are excluded from the distribution of coins under the block reward economics. Providing this infrastructure does not give them a share of the Storage reward allocation.

Host infrastructure.
No financial reward.

Host nodes provide infrastructure necessary for the chain to operate without receiving any economic reward for that role. Their contribution supports the network without a Host reward allocation.

Resource requirements depend on node role, configuration and chain growth. The 500-miner target is a participation design objective, not described here as an enforced consensus cap.

L1 and supporting services.

L1 · peer validation

Connected peers produce, propagate and independently validate blocks and transactions under the network rules. This is the base blockchain and consensus layer.

L2-style services · assisted operation

Storage allocation calculations and PoRe committee selection currently use assisted supporting services. Recording results on L1 provides an audit trail, but does not by itself decentralize those services.

The stated direction is to distribute these supporting functions among independent operators and community participants. Their current operating model should be distinguished from the base layer. Continued onboarding also depends on the availability of ZKI services.

Shared origins.
Independent projects.

NETWORK AIRDROP / INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT

The airdrop is part of UNFTChain’s founding distribution plan, established by consensus before launch. It follows the network’s Fair Launch intention: zero coins allocated to founders, with the initial distribution intended to encourage different on-chain participation roles.

UNFT Labs, SL provides only the technical infrastructure through unftcoin.com to carry out the airdrop. The airdrop is governed by UNFTChain’s pre-launch consensus, not managed by UNFT Labs, SL. unftcoin.com hosts the participation flow because unftchain.org serves as the network’s information and technical reference website.

unftcoin.com is operated by UNFT Labs, SL. UNFT Labs, SL and UNFTChain share founders but are independent projects; providing this infrastructure does not give UNFT Labs control over the airdrop’s governance or allocation.

The initial distribution, explained.

5,050,000 UNFT: 2,000,000 for public airdrops; 1,000,000 for external marketing; 550,000 for dApp airdrops; 1,000,000 for mining incentives; 500,000 for the Storage airdrop. A proposal subject to governance approval would move 500,000 UNFT from the 2,000,000 public-airdrop pool to Reachers, leaving 1,500,000 for public airdrops, without issuing additional coins.

The treasury started as a single-signature wallet. The first 10,000 UNFT allocation to UNFTProof tested the mechanism during launch. The next step is to move treasury, Reacher and Storage pools to multisig and begin further allocations. UNFTProof has committed to return 9,500 UNFT to treasury or burn them, as governance decides. Once executed, a link to the transaction on UNFTScan will be published so the return or burn can be independently verified.

PUBLIC SOURCE RELEASE · PENDING

Private audit before publication.

The UNFTChain source code is not yet publicly available. A private audit is pending before its public release.

The project’s pre-genesis chainparams comment expresses the motivation behind the network: “Like a phoenix reborn from ashes, UNFT rises from forgotten fairness.”
